# Does Grant prioritize high-probability grants over long shots?
Yes. Grant’s algorithm reviews potential opportunities and ranks them on a scale of 1–10 based on fit with your nonprofit’s mission, location, size, and funder alignment. The recommendations you see at the top are the highest-probability suggestions for your organization. That said, you’re always in control. If you’d like, you can ask Grant to explore more long-shot opportunities, bigger or less certain grants that may be worth pursuing alongside your top matches. This way you get the best of both worlds: a smart, prioritized list plus the freedom to take calculated risks.
