Working With Grant
Clear roles, simple steps: onboard once, review monthly matches, choose drafting support, and submit with confidence.
Overview
This article explains how we’ll collaborate to find, prioritize, and apply for grants. You’ll see what we handle end-to-end, where we need your input, and how to keep everything moving smoothly.
1) Onboarding (most of the work—done once)
-
Complete the forms so we can learn your mission, programs, beneficiaries, geographies, budgets, and goals.
-
Share recent one-pagers, decks, logic models, budgets, and impact data.
-
Update us when programs or priorities change; it can affect eligibility and fit.
2) Grant identification (research & screening)
-
We use professional databases and internal tools to find opportunities aligned to your mission, focus areas, geography, and timelines.
-
We screen for eligibility, fit, competitiveness, and deadlines before recommending anything.
3) Monthly matching cadence (you review, we learn)
-
Each month you’ll receive up to 4 recommended opportunities.
-
Approve or decline in the dashboard and tell us why—your feedback continuously improves future matches.
4) Grant writing (flexible by plan)
-
After you pick the grants to pursue, choose who drafts:
-
We draft (where included in your plan), or
-
You draft with our templates and guidance.
-
-
The dashboard will clearly indicate “Request Draft” or “Start Draft.” We’ll provide checklists and required attachments.
5) Submissions (LOIs & online applications)
-
You (the organization) submit applications to funders.
-
We supply a PDF LOI or final responses to paste into the funder portal, plus step-by-step instructions and pre-written emails.
-
For online portals, please create the account and grant us access if you want collaboration inside the portal.
6) Awards, outcomes, and re-apply planning
-
Because you submit, you’ll hear results first—please update us so we can record outcomes, advise on stewardship, and plan re-applications when appropriate.
-
We may suggest warm-up outreach to select funders (optional), and we’ll provide talking points when helpful.
